Biographical Data:
Born on New Paris Colony to Marie Lepointe, a Structural Engineer and
Materials Expert at the New Paris dry dock facility. Father is unknown.
From an early age Patrick demonstrated a severe disinterest in anything engineering related. While his mother was mortified by this revelation she did encourage him to seek his own path until the age of 11 when he was picked up by Planetary Security along with several other young people for causing mischief after a Halloween party at a local recreational center.
While Patrick was cleared of any wrong doing the impression made by those few hours spent in detention made a definite impression on the young LePointe.
At the age of 17 he enrolled in Starfleet Academy having scrapped though the entrance requirements. His four years at the academy were spent mostly with tutors and instructors, in a continuous effort to keep from washing out.
His whole time at the Academy was not negative though. He did display an above average aptitude for spatial orientation which made him a first rate shuttle pilot, but his true calling was in shipboard and planetary security. In these course areas he excelled greatly
After graduation he was immediately assigned to the Pheonix Head cluster. A grouping of 12 colonies packed relatively tightly together. He along with 200 newly minted officers and non-commissioned personnel were assigned the task of cleaning up what was rapidly becoming an embarrassing situation for the Federation as crime and corruption in the region ran unchecked.
He served under Steve Passmore, who had already made a name for himself in the security and criminal communities. For three years the new arrivals to the area had shut down or forced out nearly all of the small time players and were moving onto the three or four big time organizations which had set up shop in the cluster.
One incident of note saw Steve Passmore’s team seize 20 medium sized freighters and their crews who were transporting various forms of contraband including slaves.
Shortly following this apparent victory, an incident involving 13 of the more affluent and successful of the Federation security force in the cluster led to the disbandment of the unit and the reassignment of all of the officers to various deep range outposts and colonies. The incident in question had been rumored to be a six week rash of vigilantism on the part of these 13 un named officers which once and for all ended all semblance of organized crime in the cluster.
Following his assignment to the Pheonix Head cluster Patrick was transferred to Farsome Colony to head up security on the new colonized world.
